There`s a complaint from a friend of mine.She is a sister from Haiwaii, U.S.She told me her worries about Malaysian clothing such as abaya,jilbab or knee length T.The size is the issue here.

"You know how we all here earn extra pound of meat in different parts than you guys there in Asia.."she joked.

Well , i do agree with her. In some sites that say they have plus size- it was actually an xl.Nor larger than that.So it is quiet nonsense to my friend who really love to buy clothing from Asia.She even tried a kimono before but she could only fit her arm in...!Lol..

The only way to help my sister who need the actual plus size Knee Length Tees is that you guys have to contact me personally to give your measurements.Since we do not make extra size larger than xxl- we have to ask our supplier to make one.To manage the cost- we suggest that the quantity to be ordered is at least 20 pieces.What to do with the 20 pieces?Come on sisters..there must be a bussinesswomen inside you hidden somewhere.Sold it to your sisters nearby you.Who need the Knee Length Tees badly.Who fed up of sewing just to get a decent clothes.Who do not have much choice but only buys the local long sleeves shirt that barely covers the rear end or dont cover at all.Just as a long sleeves!

Stance of Muslimah bag are selling like hot cakes!

Al hamdullilah praise to Allah SWT.

I thought that when i asked my supplier (also my good friend,Seha) to design and produced the bag, i am making one of the mistakes in business- I am not selling THE right products.

The bag is selling like hot cakes!

Its selling wild even before the bags reach me.

This shows that lots of Muslimah concerned on the brand that they are wearing or "carrying"in this case.

Muslimahs prefer to show their stands and stance in every aspect of life.

This is where Stance of Muslimah clothing and products fits in.

What to wear for Umrah and Hajj

I received an e-mail from Atira a sister from Penang, Malaysia who was asking my opinion on clothing during umrah or hajj. I would be very happy to help any sisters to give my 2 cents on fashion clothing.I had informed Atira and i wished to inform my readers too that I am no fashion consultant nor i am specialize in fashion industry.As you can see from my profile that i had only a legal practitioner background.Dry subject huh?So Fashion for muslimah is what i am always interested in.To help sisters in finding the right cloths for the right time and place but still maintain the principles of Islam. And fashion also is the one that i am making some part time income with by selling Stance of Muslimah collections.

Now coming back to Atira request :

I quoted the narration from Abdullah bin Umar :

A person stood up and asked, "O Allah's: Apostle! What clothes may be worn in the state of Ihram?" The Prophet replied, "Do not wear a shirt or trousers, or any headgear (e.g. a turban), or a hooded cloak; but if somebody has no shoes he can wear leather stockings provided they are cut short off the ankles, and also, do not wear anything perfumed with Wars or saffron, and the Muhrima (a woman in the state of Ihram) should not cover her face, or wear gloves."

So this is the basic understanding for us although there a lot more debate among different scholars from different schools.Only the face and the hands should not be covered.Everything else including the feet must not be exposed.No perfume , no cosmetic and no other jewelleries to be seen.For further knowledge, it is advisable that Atira seek for an ustaz advice on principle of Ihram clothing for Muhrima.

I had a few friends who complained that although they wear abaya and hijab or khimar, they were once scolded by an Arab men and women."Haram! Haram"they were saying to my friends.I do not know the real situation but perhaps the abaya is a bit transparent or the hijab length does not cover their chest.

Unlike Malaysian wheather which is wet and warm, the whether in Mecca is dry.The heat from the sun is greater. So it is not wise to wear thin materials which could expose your skin to the sun heats.Find an abaya that has thick material but still light to wear.Do not go for fancy abaya that are heavy with embroidery as we are there as a pilgrims to Allah SWT and not to distract others with our fashionable abaya.

Many of my friends also loves to wear lengthy khimar or hijab which is 60" or more.


This is one example of typical Malaysian muhrima/women pilgrims.The cloth is usually a "baju kurung" ( a traditional Malay ladies cloth).It is loose and comfortable.However, the person must be cautious of her safety when wearing this kind of hijab.As other pilgrims may pulled the hijab accidentally.Picture courtesy of Kosmo.

Casual Yet Feminine

I often saw beautiful dresses like the one below but unfortunately as you can see, our hijab muslimah sisters cant wear them as it will expose their aurat at the hand and the upper side.

Thus, i combined the white cardigan to match with the dresses.Find the right pashmina shawl to match with and walla!

To emphasis the red flower in the dress , i found a few accessories like red handbags and red bangle.
